| After reading FARMER BOY by Laura Ingalls Wilder about Laura's husband's childhood near Malone, NY we were interested in checking out Almanzo Wilder's homestead. Jeffery was quick to point out sites from the book in Malone and at the homestead. The house is the restored origional and the barns are new replicas. We even enjoyed a walk to the Trout River on the other side of Stacy Road. |
