| Although we may have gotten our Christmas cards sent early this year (and finally have our Nativity sets out), we are quite "blessed" with lots to keep us from our other Christmas preparations. Bethan entered "phase 1" of orthodontics with spacers the day after her 7th birthday. Jeffery won the Canandaigua 4th grade Geography Bee (3 days before his 10th birthday) and will go on to compete locally and perhaps beyond (as cousin Peter did several times). They both continue to enjoy Odyssey of the Mind, piano lessons and choir. Jeffery and Bethan will be singing in the Holiday Music Festival with the Saint Mary's Church Joyful Noise Choir at Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion this year. Thomas is enjoying newly discovered talents and practicing them often. Because he undresses himself in his crib, he now wears his pj's with the zipper in the back and has duct tape on his diapers at nap time. We had plenty of snow in November, more than we're used to. Ron cleared out a spot in his new barn for Laura to park the van this winter so we're all set for a white Christmas. We are looking forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus and will enjoy several Advent activities in preparation for Christmas. |
| Dr. Herb Bandemer passed away on October 7, 2008 at the age of 83. His three children, and wife of 59 years reminded us of Dr. B's mantra: "IF GOD BRINGS ME TO IT... HE'LL GET ME THROUGH IT." Dr. B hired Laura as a kennal kid at Storybook Farm Veterinary Hospital when she was 14. |
