| Jeffery's Odyssey of the Mind Exhibitions happen this month. His first is February 7th at the local level. On the 28th his team will head to the Regional competition and then perhaps to the states in April. Bethan's Exhibition has been rescheduled until the 23rd of February due to weather complications earlier in January. Stay tuned for more OM news in March. Winter Break is two weeks away and we haven't set plans yet. There are thoughts about heading east towards Albany. Perhaps we'll check out the NYS museum (there's a carousel there) and then head to Amherst, Massachusetts to check out the ERIC CARLE Museum. A Globetrotters game is in the near future for Ron, Jeffery, and Bethan. Laura remembers seeing the Globetrotters YEARS ago. She will stay home with Thomas who will need to keep his regular bedtime. |
| Dr. Herb Bandemer passed away on October 7, 2008 at the age of 83. His three children, and wife of 59 years reminded us of Dr. B's mantra: "IF GOD BRINGS ME TO IT... HE'LL GET ME THROUGH IT." Dr. B hired Laura as a kennal kid at Storybook Farm Veterinary Hospital when she was 14. |
| Thomas continued his attempts to potty train himself this month. Laura got very little done outside the bathroom (think preparing dinner or discovering a toddler's flare for decorating the bathroom). Finally, the trains came out and Thomas preferred to spend his days playing with trains (which are not allowed in the bathroom). Thomas still enjoys his "potty time" but we're sticking with diapers until spring. |
