| It's 2009! The Ouimettes are ready. Thomas began "potty training" himself the week before Christmas and prefers to do his business on the toilet rather than in his diapers. We haven't clued him in to the idea of public restrooms yet as Laura prefers to wait for warmer weather before saying good bye to the diapers in 2009. Bethan has a pallet expander and has been getting used to that in hopes of reducing the need for braces. Odyssey of the Mind exhibitions are coming up in February, so we're sure to keep busy readying for them with Bethan on the Primary team and Laura coaching Jeffery's Structural team. We have no big plans for 2009 other than enjoying life here on Charlotte Street and perhaps setting some plans for changing our attached garage into living space. A trip to the UK is getting closer with Thomas getting older...but that may be more likely in 2010. |
| Dr. Herb Bandemer passed away on October 7, 2008 at the age of 83. His three children, and wife of 59 years reminded us of Dr. B's mantra: "IF GOD BRINGS ME TO IT... HE'LL GET ME THROUGH IT." Dr. B hired Laura as a kennal kid at Storybook Farm Veterinary Hospital when she was 14. |

| Jeffery won the 4th grade Geo-Bee competition in early December and went on to compete with the top 10 4th and 5th grade students from Canandaigua. Jeff did a great job in competition. He won't go onto the state competition this year, maybe next year. |
