| Summer is almost over. We did have a fun time in August with all of the Bender cousins. Our trip south of Albany involved visits to to the Fire Museum in Hudson, Trolley Museum in Kingston, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and great diner in Redhook. We also got to visit with Aunt Barbara, Uncle Walter, Aunt Linda, Uncle George, and Cousin Karen. We're just returning from a week of camping at Eighth Lake in the Adirondacks. Although we set up camp in the rain, the rest of the week was warm and wonderful. Jake gave us a tremendous scare when he had a major seizure but fully recovered after lots of prayers to enjoy fetching his tennis balls and chasing fish in the lake. Time to start switching gears as we get ready for the school year. Jeffery is going into 5th grade with Mrs. Samatulski as his teacher and Bethan has Mrs. Julie Marie Smith for second grade. Thomas will be returning to Bible School on Wednesday mornings (and will hopefully speak to his teachers this year). |
