September began with our annual camping trip to Eighth Lake. We had a spectacular week and for the first time that we can remember we enjoyed a whole week without rain! Jeffery and Laura made a visit to Lindsey at RIT after a First Lego League event in Rochester. We are very excited that the whole McMorrow clan will be here for a visit later in October. Laura and her co-coach, Susan, have a team of nine middle school students on the CMS FIRST Lego League Robotics team and thankfully did not need to make any cuts. Jeffery checked out a Boy Scout troop and is now a Boy Scout. He's mastered the square knot and is selling popcorn. (Let Jeffery know if you're interested in purchasing Boy Scout popcorn.) Bethan attended another Rockin' Readers bookclub after reading The Chocolate Touch by Patrick Skene Catling and especially enjoyed the chocolate fountain at the meeting. Bethan will be selling Girl Scout cookies in October and invites anyone who is interested in buying GS cookies to let her know. Bethan tried out for the swim team and is now practicing two nights a week with the red team. The Canandaigua Aquatics swim team was in need of an 8 and under swim coach earlier this month. Ron applied and is now happily coaching again for the blue team at the same time Bethan practices. |
