| It's been quite a pleasant summer for the Ouimettes of Canandaigua. We stuck close to home for our 16th anniversary and the 4th of July. Ron and Jeffery headed to Carlisle for a Mopar show and returned to join Alexandra and the Babcock family for a visit to the Sterling Renaissance Faire. We got to see Alexandra again the next weekend when we went to enjoy a Cornell Chimes concert. Ron traveled quite a bit for work and enjoyed a limited amount of time in the barn with his cars. Bethan enjoyed the July book club meeting and has had several playdates with friends each week. Jeffery kept up with swim practice and summer reading before heading up to Camp Nazareth for the last week of July. Thomas has enjoyed having his siblings home to play with and annoy, and has become quite the expert at turning out scrumptious batches of homemade ice cream. Laura's been keeping busy getting things planned for the August 14th celebration in Fairport for her Mom and Dad (who have been doing more of the getting ready at their house). There's also been Vacation Bible School, a visit to the Fellenz Family Farm by the Canandaigua Botanical Society, visits to the farmer's market with Maya, piano lessons, library visits, Community Bible Study gatherings at the lake, and did we mention ice cream making (and eating). Grandpa took Laura, Bethan, Thomas, and Grandma to the Rheinblick for a birthday lunch and Ron took Laura, Bethan, and Thomas to the new Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar in Canandiagua while Jeffery was at camp. Jeffery got to check out the new Eatertainment restaurant with Ron, Laura, and Thomas while Bethan was at a friend's house. August will find us in the Albany area for Cousin Janine's wedding and Thomas' 4th birthday, celebrating Grandma and Grandpa's 50th anniversary and enjoying family and friends the following week, getting ready for school, and then camping at Eighth Lake (same time as the Babcock family!) the week before Labor Day. |
