SO1 Joshua-John Mannato in the US Navy Huey Deb's sister JUDY who is recovering from a broken neck (returned home on 12/21/09!) | We enjoyed a blessed Christmas season and are looking forward to a blessed 2011. Ron continues to enjoy his role as swim coach to the 8 and under swimmers, as well as the opportunity to get back in the water himself on the Sawbellies Masters team. Laura spent much of December preparing for Christmas with ornament making and cookie baking. Thankfully, she enjoyed a very peaceful and joyful Christmas season appreciating the gift of Baby Jesus. Jeffery got a mouth full of braces in December. He continues to ride his bike to school everyday without worry of ice or snow to slow him down. Jeffery made Bethan a ceramic box for Christmas and sewed a polarfleece football for Thomas. Bethan sewed her brothers pillow cases for Christmas with fabric she selected at JoAnn's and Grandma's. She also made several gifts at school and weaved potholders for family members. Thomas painted wooden ornaments for Daddy, Jeffery and Bethan using one hand ("while keeping the other clean"). On Christmas Eve Thomas ran into the kitchen to tell Laura, "I wasn't doing ANYTHING!" Even though Laura did not believe what she heard, there has yet to be any evidence of wrong doing. Jake had a special treat over the Christmas holiday when Maya's "grand-dog", Zephyr, came for a visit. They enjoyed many romps together in the back yard. |
