| Ouimette newsbits Ron's found his passion and has been working diligently these past weeks getting things together to find a position as a swim coach. We are excited to see what God's plan has in store for us as things unfold. Jeffery won second place in the local Elks Club Americanism essay contest. He received a $50 savings bond and we all got to enjoy pizza with the Elks. Laura was able to locate the James Burke's Connections series on DVD from the library and Jeffery is facinated with them. Laura is amused by how "dated" some have become. Bethan's Odyssey of the Mind team did a phenominal job at tournament. She is currently working with her Brownie troop to prepare for their June camping trip. Thomas has been occupied with building train tracks, reading books, writing (or illustrating) his own books, and investigating the numberous games and puzzles around the house. Laura has been working to help get the new Canandaigua Botanical Society year planned and marketed - check it out! |

| One of Laura's favorite high school teachers died January 28, 2010. Mr. James Nowak had retired from teaching to begin Building Futures where he built a school and health clinic in Kenya. Mr. Nowak was killed in an auto accident in Kenya. In this video http://prendismo.mobi/collection/viewclip/11379 Jim Nowak speaks about his personal philosophy and drive. He ends it saying, “I do want to be the 85-year-old guy that looks back and says, well we did some good stuff, you know. Change the world.” He may have only lived here on earth for 59 years, but he’s done more good stuff than most that make it to 85. |
