Ron and Laura for appropriate job opportunities. Karen Chamberlain in the Dominican Republic to administer physical therapy with LifeSong International Cousin Derek Edquist, currently deployed. SO1 Joshua-John Mannato in the US Navy Huey Deb's sister JUDY who is recovering from a broken neck (returned home on 12/21/09!) | Ouimette newsbits February was a fun month. It started out with a visit from the McMorrow family who came to celebrate Lindsey's birthday. Laura remembers heading to the McMorrows to help out with baby Lindsey 19 years ago wondering if that new guy Ron was worth her interest. It's no wonder the McMorrows feel like family! Ron had an interview for a long term teaching position but it wasn't in God's plan and we continue to seek His will for our future. Having Ron home with limited income still outways having him away. We are confident in the blessings we have and will continue to have in the future. Jeffery played viola for All County and Fiddle Club concerts and made the Honor Roll for his first semester in 6th grade. He also enjoyed a Boy Scout Klondike derby. Bethan has been enjoying her Odyssey of the Mind team which performs on March 2. She enjoyed a great book club out on a backyard ice rink and then skated 50 laps on the Olympic ice rink in Lake Placid. Thomas completed his pre-pike swim lessons and is moving to Pike for his next swim class. We all enjoyed a trip to Lake Placid with toboggan runs onto Mirror Lake, skating at the Olympic Center, Cross Country skiing to Lake Placid, swimming in the hotel pool and yes, watching television in the hotel room (since we don't get TV reception at home). Laura even brought her tatting along and completed a few projects! |

| One of Laura's favorite high school teachers died January 28, 2010. Mr. James Nowak had retired from teaching to begin Building Futures where he built a school and health clinic in Kenya. Mr. Nowak was killed in an auto accident in Kenya. In this video http://prendismo.mobi/collection/viewclip/11379 Jim Nowak speaks about his personal philosophy and drive. He ends it saying, “I do want to be the 85-year-old guy that looks back and says, well we did some good stuff, you know. Change the world.” He may have only lived here on earth for 59 years, but he’s done more good stuff than most that make it to 85. |
