| One of Laura's favorite high school teachers died January 28, 2010. Mr. James Nowak had retired from teaching to begin Building Futures where he built a school and health clinic in Kenya. Mr. Nowak was killed in an auto accident in Kenya. In this video http: //prendismo.mobi/collection/viewclip/11379 Jim Nowak speaks about his personal philosophy and drive. He ends it saying, “I do want to be the 85-year- old guy that looks back and says, well we did some good stuff, you know. Change the world.” He may have only lived here on earth for 59 years, but he’s done more good stuff than most that make it to 85. |

| OUIMETTE NEWSBITS: Ron completed the work he wanted to do on the 1968 Monanco and has decided to sell it. He will hold onto the two 1968 Chrysler Newports. Together Ron and Laura have started a new USA swim team in Ontario County called ORCA - Ontario Racers Club Aquatics. Hopes are to be in the water by May 1, 2012. Laura's kettles continue cooking with FIRST Lego League coaching, Community Bible Study, Canandaigua Botanical Society, helping Mom out while Dad continues rehab at the Jewish Home, keeping up with family and household events, and seeking the possibility of a paid job. Jeffery is enjoying 7th grade, Boy Scouts, and reading on his new Kindle (thanks Grammy). Bethan will swim in her first FAST swim meet this month. She continues to progress on her viola and makes visits to Grandpa to show how well she's "plucking along". Thomas is enjoying Great Start Preschool and Community Bible Study classes. He continues to build and engineer projects throughout the house, barn and yard. Jake misses his best friend Maya but has been a good dog to learn to drop his tennis balls inside the fence for us to throw. |
