| One of Laura's favorite high school teachers died January 28, 2010. Mr. James Nowak had retired from teaching to begin Building Futures where he built a school and health clinic in Kenya. Mr. Nowak was killed in an auto accident in Kenya. In this video http: //prendismo.mobi/collection/viewclip/11379 Jim Nowak speaks about his personal philosophy and drive. He ends it saying, “I do want to be the 85-year- old guy that looks back and says, well we did some good stuff, you know. Change the world.” He may have only lived here on earth for 59 years, but he’s done more good stuff than most that make it to 85. |

| Ouimette Newsbits We anxiously awaited word from swim coach postition interviews early in September. We prayed for God to put us where he needed us and for us to be gracious with God's will, be it staying here in Canandaigua or making a move. Without offers from interviews, we are starting a USA swim team here in Ontario County! Ron has enjoyed being out in the barn working on his 1968 Monanco. It's been an even greater pleasure being able to drive it now that he has it put back together! Laura still feels like she has a stove full of kettles - all boiling! (Certainly there must be a wonderful feast in the making.) Maya's declining health and passing, along with her Dad's stroke have been of greatest focus. Together Time has been passed on, Lego Robotics is off to a strong start, Community Bible Study sustains her through core group study and teaching with the preschool program, Canandaigua Botanical Society and the city tree commitee hold her interest and attention, and then there's the full time job of Mommy. Jeffery is enjoying 7th grade, FIRST Lego League, Viola, Piano, and Boy Scouts (where he became a 2nd class scout in September). Bethan is now in 4th grade. Viola, piano, Girl Scouts, Joyful noise Choir, and swimming with FAST (Fairport Area Swim Team) fill her calendar. Thomas is attending GREAT START preschool and Community Bible Study. He has enjoyed playdates with friends and his time with Daddy . Jake enjoyed swimming in 8th Lake during the camping trip and continues to visit Mary at Elm Manor. (He's missing his best ball thrower, Maya). |
